Last weekend I went to the Longwood Gardens in Pennsylvania. What a wonderful place. We spent 6 hours walking the pathways around well manicured and colorful gardens. The vivid colors of the mums and orchids;the various sizes and shapes of pumpkins and the autumn leaves decorated the country home of the DuPont family. The smoothing sound of the Italian Water Garden fountains and the ponds surrounded by trees changing colors, all made for a spectacular day. I strongly suggest that you visit this outstanding garden. It is while worth the 90 minute drive from the Baltimore area. .
